What is Fenbendazole?

Fenbendazole (also known as Fenben) is a broad-spectrum benzimidazole anthelmintic used against gastrointestinal parasites. Given its low toxicity and high tolerability among different species, the possibility of repurposing it as a drug to treat cancer in humans has been proposed.

Is Fenben the same as fenbendazole?

Yes.  As Fenbendazole became a topic of interest in health circles looking for alternatives to BIG Pharma, the abbreviated term Fenben became a type of shorthand for the full chemical name.  Often in scientific articles, you will even see fenbendazole abbreviated as FBZ.   The three terms are generally used interchangeably.

Does it cure cancer?

Studies have shown fenbendazole to be effective against cancer cells through energy metabolism by preventing glucose use through microtubule destabilization.  While no full-scale human trials have been completed, both clinical and community evidence have shown fenbendazole to be effective against cancer cells.

What does Fenbendazole do?

Traditionally Fenbendazole has been used to treat parasites in animals for decades. Its effectiveness is in operating as a microtubule destabilizing agent… thus causing the death of the parasites by not being able to replicate their cells.  Some research has shown that fenbendazole has a similar effect on cancer cells due to its rapid proliferation. Further studies are needed to demonstrate the exact mechanisms of operation.

Is Fenbendazole “Safe”?

“SAFE” The reality is that the word “Safe” gives people a false sense of “Safety” Thousands of Drugs prescribed by doctors for general use or even chemotherapy are extremely toxic.
